heh heh,, the thing wouldnt twist by hand, the adjustable spanner helped slow it down by turning it and then it snapped 🙂

You are sure you did the lefty loosey righty tighty thing?

Otherwise – if its under warranty – I’d say it got delivered that way.

Not under warranty – well lots of options!

Can you make a jump over the puddle?

Try wrapping plumbers tape over the tread and re-screwing back on, may be a stop gap till you get it fixed.

Make another Reflections movie…. love that one

Big flat end screwdriver and hammer time, to tamp it in the direction to loosen or srew 2 screws in where handle has snapped and brace a lever between them….

Happy New Year by the way…

wot he said – put a new handle on it as you will need a new cap anyway

If it fails again/snaps then drill it apart so you can just snap it off at the thread [outer bit] – do this in a way not to damage the thread obviously

Please dont make a movie about the bloke coming out to fix your washing machine. That would not be safe for work.

E spares, use a pattern part (fraction of the Bosch price)

replace whole filter unit, it’s an easy instal ( remembering to unplug etc……)

On mine it was 2 X torx screws on front
release two pipe clamps (using pliers)
    1 X electrical plug….

    dead easy
