    Do 4-arm Middleburn middle chainrings fit on RF Evolve crank arms? Is it that simple? I mean, are all 4-arm rings compatible with all 4-arm cranks? And as subsidiary question – what's all this Middleburn "slick-shift" and "hard coat"? Is it worth paying for? Ooooh! And another question. Does anyone apart from Middleburn do blue chainrings – cos I am feeling quite tarty 😮

    Slickshift means the rings are ramped and pinned to make shifting, well slicker.

    Hardcoat means the rings are hard anodised and should last longer.

    I have these rings on my RS7's and the hardcoat is wearing well and the shifting is excellent.

    I think all 4 arm rings are compatable but best call Middleburn.

    the hard coat rings are only in a dark grey colour – no pimped colours there!

    So "hard coat" and "blue" are not compatible. Hmmm. Pity.
