Shallow thread, but show me your blue bikes...
I have black rims/spokes/hubs, but thinking silver stem/bars/post/headset....
Will I die?

Either are good as long as you don't mix and match. I'd go for silver if I was buying it all new but if you've already got black then go for that. Although it depends in the blue. Baby blue or Navy blue?

Black for me think it looks spot on.

white!

This blue

Hmmm... Probably black.

I went for white.
The quick releases are hope blue ones.Posted 4 months ago # -
I reckon silver would look great with that Sanderson
Posted 4 months ago # -
silver would tie in nice with the head badge, black would be ok too

Elmo - is that bike blue?
I think white for the Sanderson, to match the decals.

With those decals, a mixture of black and white would suit.
Perhaps a white saddle, black bars and stem, with a black fork and white clampy headsetty brakey quick releasy bits?

Can't post pics as I'm at work but I've got a blue (let's say deep sky blue?) Pipedream Scion and it looks really good with gold headset/seat QR/spacers and hubs. Bars, stem, seat pin, rims and spokes are all black.

blue and white is the ONLY way to go, with maybe a splash of red for patriotic reasons.
My name is kev, and I am a bike tart.

oooh, white looks yummy. Looking just now, OnOnes shiny silver looks good

Anything but white or black seems obviously wrong to me... Not too much white, though.

Gotta be white!

White looks queer, stick with black.

Truly awful

Polished al/ti looks good with everything. You could chuck a bit of orange in with the blue. Blue and either white or black or both is quite tame, get a bit more colour going on (says the guy with the black+black+polished bike).
There's also different shades of blue to work with, or go gunsmoke.

I had a gold seat QR on for a bit, whilst waiting for the blue one.
Think i missed a trick. The gold would have been lovely, but i already had the skewers!I shall see if i have a better pic!
EDIT:
This is the pic of the frame from the classified ad

I'm in agreement, blue, white and a smattering of red...

I should like some sort of UN ban on white seatposts

Yep, white seat posts and bars should be made illegal and if you get caught using them you get put on a register.

Mostly black on my Swift (with bits of silvery colour here and there), the finishes are different tho' - some stuff is matt, some kinda glossy.
I'll be adding orange/copper/bronze colours to it next.
