Up for a new bike and I’ve a voucher that needs to be redeemed at Leisure Lakes, so am limited to their catalogue.

I’ve been dabling with 29ers – I had a Specialised Camber Carbon for 2 days. Liked it but I’m not completely sold. If I was 6 foot tall perhaps, but concerned as I’m only 5′ 6″. The standover height was none existant, but the bike rode well. Certainly round Cannok (FYD and off piste) it coped with everything apart from 2 tight corners in the off piste trees. I also ride a lot in the Peaks.

So I’ve looked at an Orange Giro at Lesuire Lakes. It’s a good looking bike. Feels good – the spec seems ok. Not brilliant but OK. Again stand over height is none existant though.

Also looking at a Santa Cruz TallBoy, but the build may take it out of my price range. My issue is that I can’t try it before buying.

So any other 29ers that may have a better stand over height. Looking for something with longer forks than 100mm as that felt under gunned.

My other option, being a short arse is staying with the 26er. I’ve looked at the Yeti ARS-5 or the Stumpy evo.

Current bikes are Cotic Soul and 2007 Stumpy.

    So thoughts?

Why not stick to the Cotic Soul and put longer forks on? Or sell it to me?

Not sure standover height is something you need to get too hung up about, if the bike rides well.
