Reluctantly going to get a turbo for using at home – trying to embrace the science but finding it hard to accurately set my baseline figures out on the road.

Will be used indoors (so noise level a consideration) with my winter roadie and Mrs Tyred’s mtb, got up to 150 to spend. I guess bar-mounted resistance remote is worth having?

The ‘Tacx Sirius Soft Gel Folding’ looks about right, but I don’t know much about turbos – does anyone have any particular recommendations or ones to avoid?

    Cheers!

Cyclops MAG, bar mounted resistance is overated, if its adjustable at all just set it in the middle and use the gears to make it easier/harder. Makes it easier to track progress as if tis always set at the same level then power is roughly proportional to speed regarless of which gear your in.

I’m selling mine, 5 levels of resistance from easy spin upto b****** climb, quiet enough to be used indoors with the door shut and your ipod on (just remember to open the window!).
