I need to replace the bearings in my XT BB, which are 6805 2RS.
Do I go for:
A Ceramic from superstar~£15
B Enduro~ £9
C Generic~ £2
If the answer is generic, anyone know where I can get some in SW/NW London?

If you can get the correct size get named ones form well known companies such as SKF
Endura do sell some odd sized bearings that are unobtainable from elsewhere
why send money with a reseller when the right ones are available direct?

Now maybe i'm mistaken here but every time i've stripped down my XT ht2 BB it doesn't appear as if the bearings are easily replaceable. They certainly don't appear to be standard press fit cartridge bearings. With that in mind i was under the impression that you either flush them with degreaser, then dry out & repack to extend their lifespan somewhat or replace the whole unit? Am i mistaken on this one?

I was thinking along the same lines this week thread here-which links to thread about how to change bearings
i also gave tim at sideways a shout-phil wood bearing replacements are £40
in the end i went with a new deore from crc, price and time were the main factors, going to ssec and don't have the dough to get posher (even betd) bearings but next time ill have a go at bashing them out

im giving it a go with some cheapo 2.50 bearings off fleabay - that way if i knacker them i wont end up in tears.
if it goes ok i'll fork out for some good quality ceramics i reckon. looks fairly simple (touch wood).

skf/other branded seem to be around £10 each, are they going to be much better than £2.50 ones from ebay? or £9 enduro ones?

Going through the same train of thought with my hope ProII SS hub, worn two sets of bearings out in little over a year, looking at skf from Simply bearings ....£71 for stainless set or 23 for CRC hope kit, tuff call
