As above really. My LBS has the basic Tricross on offer for 550.
How does it compare to a true cx bike, and how does it handle the rough stuff?
Cheers

Or if anyone got a cx bike to fit a 5 ft7 person, for about same money, let me know
My mate has one - nice bike and rides nicely - OK for offroad depending on your skill levels - skinny tyres and drop bars will allways be limiting
You know my skill level
We rode together at Glentress, end of summer night ride, remember.
guy at work has one. Looks nice though more of a burly commuter feel than a CX bike (compared to my Kona Jake the Snake). He has wide slick tyres and mud guards on it though.
My mate is a newbie
I only had a wee spin on it and it seemed a nice bike but I wouldn't want to do much more than forest roads on it. He did cope with some green standard trails tho
I've got a tricross disc. It's:
Much faster than an MTB up hills.
Much much faster on the flat.
Great at mud-plugging thanks to the longer wheelbase.
Stable and smooth as a winter trainer but a little heavy (no bad thing).
But...
Not too good on rocky downhills.
