I noticed that the bottom jockey wheel on my rear mech had seized up so decided to remove it and take a look.
I removed the retaining bolt and the jockey wheel fired out of the cage. 😳
When I was picking the bits up off the floor I found a small circlip but can't see anywhere on the mech where it might have come from?
It may have already been on the garage floor from something else!

There is no circlip on mine! Think you found some old rubbish on the floor,
