Was looking at the superstar site the other day and noticed their Rims, anyone bought built up their “XC 430” rim? I’m after a cheaper lighter rear rim for my Hack bike, how would it hold up to occasional DH/Jumpy abuses? experiences and or similarly priced alternatives (XM317, EN321?) welcome…

They’re decent enough, made by Alex but I wouldn’t try to use them outside of their stated purpose tbh. 321 would be a good option IMO. Stans Flow would be ideal but I assume priced out.

yup flows too costly its to rebuild an old “B team” wheel currently a 729 on a DMR Revolver bit heavy I just want something sub 500g cheap and robust (or the moon on a stick) 321 was a front runner but then I spotted the SS rim and started to ummm and errr a bit… cheers
