    Hi,

Has anyone here with a Kindle with 3G ever used it for web browsing in the Netherlands, Benelux, Germany or France?
I have a Wifi Kindle without 3G and know the browsing experience isn’t great.

I’d like to know for when travelling abroad, I could use google mail easily enough to keep in touch with the home front.

What isn’t clear to me is if you can actually browse the web or only buy books and Wikipedia.
Malta isn’t listed as a country they provide web surfing to.

    here

    Were you able to surf?

Yes I was able to surf and I downloaded a book. I didn’t try Gmail but facebook was a pain as it came up with a security feature which meant you had to try and identify photo’s of friends, useful I suppose as it might stop your account getting hacked
