My daughter needs a new bike and while the CNOC 16 looks okay I was wondering if there are any similar offerings on the market?

I’d quite like a bottle cage too.

Looks nice but hi-ten steel forks and quill stem? Looks a bit on the chunky side compared to the Islabike; nice styling though.

Does anyone know what Islabike do with their PX’s? I guess they scrap them to keep the new-bike market buoyant.

I’ve just bought a Specialized Hotrock 16″ for the little lady. Its very pink, so is bound to be a winner. Its the next step on from her Islabike Rothan.

I think you’re going to struggle to find a bottle cage on any 16″ wheel bike. Where’s it going to fit? How about one of these, so she feels big and all growed up. I’m really tempted to get my two a pair of them. Hmmmmmm

The ridgeback is actually pretty light my lad is 6 now so has outgrown it but I think it’s a good little bike.

Pink is good; as is that hydration pack….if I can persuade her that it’s her idea it may be a goer! I generally don’t use hydration packs and she wants a bottle cage like me!

Really like that specialized – coaster brake though; she already rides properly so that’s not going to progress her as I’d/she’d like.

My daughter has a hotrock 12 inch. I would defo get another specialized kids bike.

Another vote for the Ridgeback MX’s. My son has an MX14. Sensible prices, decent alloy frames, short reach brakes etc.

My 4 yr old boy has had a cnoc 16 for 18 months and it has been great. He is now doing pretty good jumps and hammers the bmx track and skate park on it. One of his friends has the ridgeback and they are pretty similar, just a bit heavier. One noticeable difference was that you could not adjust the ridgeback to go quite as small so if your child is small that could make a difference.

Ah, that may be the selling point as she isn’t particularly tall. Islabike it is.
