Bought a new commuter because it was cheap and had a nice frame but I could do with having the bars a bit closer. If I swap it from 140 down to 90 am I going to have a twitchy bitch between my legs?

The current stem says Zoom Original on it, as well as "92.G" and the letter "D". Does 92.G/D tell me something useful I should know when buying the replacement or will any old quill stem do?

Maybe I should just keep the stem but fit some big coo-horn bars, eh.

Must be a harder question than I thought. Whatever it is, it's not 92 grammes.

if its a quill stem your only concern will be if its 1 inch or 1 1/8th i would have thought. dont think you get many os bar clamps on quill stems. should make it handle a bit less twitchy/bit slower but it should be ok. give it a bash!
