Exciting things that are happening this week include the opening of the first door in your Paw Patrol Advent calendar, the start of this year’s Singletrack Advent Giveaway, and the opening of a huge Urban Bike Park just down the road in Leeds, and all three happen this Friday, 1st December.
The Leeds Urban Bike Park is a £1.2 million development built on the former Middleton Park golf course (finally a golf course put to good use) and will offer something for riders of all levels and disciplines.
The bike park boasts 4x tracks, jump lines, pump track sections and will eventually include a cross-country circuit that winds through the nearby woods, but this won’t be fully complete until Spring next year.
Although the park won’t officially open until 1st December, a round of the Yorkshire Cyclocross Winter Series was held on the site. Even in its then unfinished state, riders and gave the park rave reviews.
According to the Leeds Urban Bike Park Facebook Page, the park will be open 9am – 9pm (we assume that will be all week) and what’s most exciting is that this will be a free to use venue!
Other onsite facilities include a coffee shop to keep you fuelled and the UK first electric start ramp from French company ProStart. Take a look at the site in this drone flyby.
As Leeds is just a short trip from Singletrack Towers don’t be too surprised if you see some of the Singletrack crew there through the week. Those of you who fancy showing your support at the open day should get there between 1-6pm on 1st December where there will be free coffee and cake to enjoy in between runs.

Looks amazing. Hope it’s not too technical to ride (like most BMX courses) and lets you just have fun without having to be able to manual/pump everything and clear every double/tripple.
