Lauf Announces ‘Direct To You’ Direct Bike Sales

by 0

Today, Lauf has announced that, going forward, all sales of its True Grit gravel bikes and Anywhere road/gravel bikes will be done direct from its home base in Iceland in a new ‘Direct to You’ campaign. It promises better pre-sales service and advice, even offering video chats with its designers to get you the best fitting bike from its range.

Lauf, certainly in the UK, is probably better known for its leaf-sprung suspension forks. These will still continue to be carried by Upgrade Bikes in the UK and available through shops. Seemingly to counter the tough price market out there at the moment, Lauf has decided to pull back from dealer sales of its bikes with its new ‘Direct to You’ plan.

That’s about it – apart from to say that the prices will be dropping in this new direct to you model. However, if you bought a bike from a dealer in the last 30 days, Lauf is offering a store credit for the difference.

The bikes will be shipped direct (to you – boom tish), with only handlebars, seatpost and front wheel to fit.

And now, here’s a smoothly spoken Icelander with a cool name, Lauf founder Benedikt Skúlason, to explain Direct To You, er, to you. Don’t you just love that accent?
