Events: 2016 White Chalk Hills UCX Entry Extended

by 0

All good things must come to an end. The White Chalk Hills Ultracross is good, thus it’s coming to an end. 31 December will see the last running of this epic event in East Sussex.
If you haven’t registered yet, you still have a couple of days! The original entry deadline was 30 November, but organizers have extended it until 07 December. But after that, you’re out of luck.
White Chalk Hills UCX
For the past five years, the White Chalk Hills UCX has taken riders along 50 miles of beautifully rough terrain on the South Downs from Selmeston to Eastbourne via Beddingham and Firle. Then you turn around and ride in the other way.
It’s always a good time, and this year’s event is bolstered by some delectable catering. Riders can choose to pay a little extra for an après meal of chicken or veggie curry, rice, naan, brownies and coffee and tea, of course. In order to get a proper count of who is going to partake in the meal, you must register and pay for it in advance.
Our favorite part of this event? This statement on the web site: “Not a Race, not a Sportive, you don’t get a special medal for turning up.” Yeah…that’s quite cool.
For more information on how to register for this final installment of White Chalk Hills UCX, head over to the official web site, and be prepared to finish this sentence, as it’s part of the application process:
“I would like to ride the WHITE CHALK HILLS ULTRACROSS because…”
