The Dorset Gravel Dash promises 100 miles on some of the finest trails and back roads that the beautiful South West of England has to offer.
Starting from the coastal resort of Swanage over successive bank holiday weekends, there are two options: the 50:50 comprising 100 miles split with an overnight bivvy was held at the start of this month, but the full 100 mile whack in a day event will take place on Sunday 29 May.
Organised by Charlie the Bikemonger, whose shop is located in the town, these are largely self sustained rides with minimal signage and fuss but maximal fun. With a start/finish at the local pub, post ride food and social long after the pedals stop turning its about really what happens on and off the bike.
