When it comes to keeping the cold and wet away from your body while engaged in outdoor sporting activities, the Gore-Tex and Windstopper materials, produced by Gore, are well-known. While these fabrics are used by other brands, Gore also markets its own line of apparel.
We recently took delivery of Gore’s waterproof and breathable Oxygen 2.0 GT AS cycling jacket. Its taped seams, Gore-Tex construction and drop tail immediately show us that it’s a great candidate for our upcoming Rain Jacket Group Test in issue 003 of the grit.cx digital magazine…especially since we’ll be doing this group test in the lovely rainy and muddy weather of Belgium. Retail pricing on this jacket is £209/€260/$330.
Gore also sent us a collection of other Windstopper and Gore-Tex jackets (as seen in the homepage image), jerseys, bib tights, gloves and hats. We’ll post images and some initial observations on those in the coming weeks.
