Just been told the wee man has perthes disease. It all sounds a bit scary. Haven’t been to see the specialist yet so don’t really know what to expect. I know some on here had it as youngsters but was wondering if anyone has recent experience to share.

I’ve no personal experience of Perthes, but a friend’s son had it a few years ago. He’s 16 now, and is a very gifted young sportsman – gets trials at County level in Cricket and Hockey (not been selected yet, but he’s bubbling under!).
