Anyone tried this combo?

I fitted some XTR trail chainrings on my Deore 2×10 chainset. All mounted up fine, no fitting issues, however when I went to check the shifting, the chain dropped between the 2 rings on most gear combinations except for the lowest 2-3 sprockets at the back. I assume the tabs must have a different spacing on the XTR crank (possibly due to the thickness of the rings- as these are Al opposed to the stamped steel ones on the deore crank) I could use it as-is but I’m sure I would forget at some point & shift, get the chain jammed up. Or does anyone have a source for some chainring shims, wouldn’t take much, prob. 0.5mm at most..
