I’m sat in the garden with my laptop and it’s so flippin nice, I just can’t get any work done. Just spent an hour potting seedlings and fixing patches in the lawn. FFS, I have loads to do.

I work outdoors whatever the weather. I started at 05:00 today to avoid the heat. Was beautiful this morning.

Went into the office to appease  both Jacob Rees-Mogg and our internal attendance monitoring set up to appease Jacob Rees-Mogg.

Plus it was beautifully air conditioned.

I’m making no claims as to productivity though.

It’s raining here, so I don’t feel so bad.

Was lovely yesterday though, so was a struggle being stuck inside… although that applies to both WFH and the office.

I have a meeting tomorrow at 3pm with the people I need to do stuff for and I have been putting off for 3 weeks. I’ve barely started.

summer was yesterday here in west central Scotland, back to cool, cloudy normal today.  No impacts on work, whatever the location.

I’d be leaving a reply. Via the medium of fist sized braille in his face.

A chaingang is work right? So out on the club chaingang in the glorious sunshine was work.

I used to work outside a lot. I quit one utterly miserable Welsh February day with horizontal rain and sleet.

I am off work tomorrow when it’s forecast to be hotter.

I’ll be wearing a suit and tie all day. Bugger.

I had the day off today, and mid morning changed into ride clothes, then went outside and couldn’t face riding, it was meant to be 25 degrees but there was not a breath of wind and felt hotter!  So I promptly went back inside and unchanged!  Eventually got out about 6pm!

I work outside all year.  Hot weather is the toughest, you can dress for winter but you can’t undress for summer!

Try being in a black truck with no aircon, that’s ‘fun’ in this weather.  Especially as modern aerodynamics means that even opening both windows makes no difference as the displaced air goes round the cab and virtually none comes in!  90kph down the M5 feels like a standstill in the cab.  Driving to Plymouth tomorrow so will get stuck in the Glastonbury traffic each way.  Lovely.

Especially when you get into a car that’s been parked all day, and someone has left the key on the dash, instead of in the centre console, thus causing a nice burn blister on your finger! 40° inside = not much fun! 😖

I’m a Scottish resident working the week in Winchester and London. I melted yesterday.
Even sitting in the hotel beer gardens last night felt too hot….
