It’s annoying, it definitely seems to happen whenever you move text around, edit something you’ve already typed or cut & paste etc. I have found a fix though.  If you post and it’s got a mix of small and large text do this. Click on edit post – you have 15 mins to edit a post before you lose the option.  Select all the text then cut or copy and manually delete it.  Paste it back using the “paste as plain text” option.  Then hit submit and all your text should be standard size.

There is a ‘clear formatting’ button on the button bar.

Whether it works or not is another matter, I’ve never tried it.

Another foible, sometimes when I write a comment then go to paste and add a link from YouTube/web link it will not paste, so I post the text, open up on a different device to what I originally used to post the text (iPhone/ipad/imac) and edit my post to add the link.

I’ve recommended this forum to a few bikey folk on other forums and they’ve all came back and commented on how bac it is to use.

Which one’s that, then? And while I’m on the subject, what happened to the strike-through button? I’ve seen posts with a strike-through, but I’ve not found a way to do it recently, ‘cos I can’t see a dedicated button for it any longer. It’s not something I’d use a lot, but it’s a handy thing to have.

for strike though you use insert text [*s]

    replace * with /

    and you get insert text

it should work, but it doesn’t?

I’m reminded of a line in Aliens 3, of a run down prison, where guard ‘”85″  says “I told you nothing works here”
