I'm sure plenty of folk have asked before about only being able to afford or have space for one bike so where are the threads? So i'll ask again 🙂

I've got two frames (RocketMax & Shan GT) and due to space and money I can only have one built up at any one time (first world problem I know). Seems a bit of a waste to just have one or the other in storage for months at a time so considering moving one on. Both have their positive and negative points and I enjoy riding both but one of them should probably get moved on, but which?

If the Shan GT is a large, then I'd definitely suggest moving it on

The Shan GT is a large, but they do size up small as I had thought a medium would fit me until I rode them.

If the Rocket Max is a medium then that should definitely go 😉

Keep the hardtail, your soul will thank you.

It all depends what kind of riding you do the most of innit! 🙂

Are you thinking the Cotic doesn't fit you now?

Can't imagine why you'd get rid and keep a hardtail otherwise. I thought it rode fantastic.

wobbliscott RocketMax is a medium.

chakaping No i'm not thinking it's too small and it does ride very nice, but so does the hardtail.

shermer75 I ride in the Lakes mostly, it's rocky and summer rides usually involve a hike.

If yo don't need the storage, yo don't need the money and you enjoy riding them both then why on earth would you sell one!?

FWIW, if you're a Lakes regular then I'd keep the FS. IMHO of course.

I had one bike once.

It was horrible.

I went out and got another.

Never been without at least 2 fully functioning bikes since.

This has now become a bit of a problem.

I had 6 bikes and went to one and it’s great. 29” hardtail it is.

I've only got one point seven five bikes, but also a bunch of parts.

This is how it starts isn't it.

Only have 1 bike, for a few years I had two (trail bike and DH bike) but the DH bike only saw the light a few times a year and I found better uses for the money, children and child related stuff mostly.

I’ve never really been into the whole n+1 thing.

I’ve got a Tracer 27.5 it’s a brilliant all rounder for me.

I have 2 bikes, a banshee phantom and a singular swift rigid ss. Sufficiently different to cover all riding in all weathers.

Your 2 sound like the "same" bike..... I think one needs to be exchanged rather than moved on though.

I have only one bike. It is very restful, and I have no regrets. It's a state of mind really. You just have to accept that your bike is fine and stop fretting about whether a different bike would be preferable. 🙂

Less time on here makes for a happier relationship with 1 bike 💡

If you find the right partner you don't need to look elsewhere other than tinker every now and then.

Yes.

It finishes with renting a storage unit to put (mainly) bikes in.

(Saying that, i cleared mine out this year, so now have all the bikes at home. Mostly in boxes, so i'm still not 100% sure what they are, or what condition they are in.....)
