  • Where to take the mrs for her 30th?

It’s mrs matt’s 30th next Saturday and we’ve just found out we can leave minimatt with her mother for the night.

Anyone got any suggestions as to where to go that’s about 2-3 hours from Sunderland. Edinburgh seems favourite at the minute but I’m looking for other options.

The end of Edinburgh festival fireworks are on Sunday night, which might be nice for her birthday

Right. The beauty of living in the North East is thus.

1 your an hour from the Scottish Border
2 an 2 hrs max from The Lake District
3 an airport where you can pretty much be anywhere in Europe in a couple of hrs. For very little money

So. With that in your mind its a big question

    That got ya thinking eh.

Camping at Keilder, then a solid bike ride. Not a euphemism.

You could take her up the vertical pier – chicks dig that.

If you’re going to Edinburgh, the Castle Terrace restaurant is about as good as it gets. We went there for our wedding anniversary this year and it was brilliant.
