    Morning All ?

I’m planning on doing a duathlon event in mid September which is at Newborough Forest in Anglesea but will be just me and my bike for one night (maybe two, but I doubt it).

Given that its just me, I’m looking for some basic accommodation so I can stop over the night before, wondering if anyone has stayed over anywhere nearby recently that would fit the bill?

I don’t want it to be terrible and don’t mind paying, but no need for it to be luxurious. Doesn’t have to be specifically bike friendly as my bike will pack down into a bag in the car boot with rear tinted windows (paint splattered decorating blanket over the top) but would need at least off road parking I think.

I thought about just booking the Premier Inn in Caernarfon for simplicity but its a 30min drive to Newborough Forest so wondering if there’s anything closer anyone knows of…

If anywhere looks really nice and convenient I would maybe stay for 2 nights and do another bike ride the next day perhaps, depending on how smashed my legs are.

This place is just down the road from Newborough Forest. The cottages are pretty nice but not too expensive.

I used to stay at the Victoria Hotel In Menia Bridge or the Anglesey Arms in Menia Bridge.

There are lots of other hotels and B&B in Menia Bridge and Beaumaris and Treadur Bay.

If you are looking for Budget accomodation try Anglesey Outdoors which is near Holyhead.

    Hope this helps

The motor museum in the next village has old army trucks as glamping wagons.
