So I’m wondering where to go for a quick weekend riding in Northern Europe that isn’t too far from Calais! We are going with friends who aren’t as accomplished cyclists as us.

We have already done Roubaix and all that encompasses, Belgium on a few occasions, Maastricht. What other areas are good for riding? And preferably not cobbles (for them, we relish the cobbles!)

    Thanks!

Ghent. Ride the well-signposted Tour of Flanders routes from Oudenarde. The museum is worth a visit too, and the rides start from there. Not too many cobbles, but lovely lanes.
