"Second biggest is the cinema, it's like TV except it costs a tenner to get in and they get stroppy about you taking your own food. "

yup, that pi**es me off as well, we got thrown out of one the other week for taking our own food, pity really as we've not had a barbeque for ages.

Good call on reinvention of the 80's

There were a group of young'uns sat out side the pub I was at the other day, I thought they were in 80's fancy dress, but no incredibly it is the fashion, one of the lads even had a Midge Ure 'tache.

People who hate popular things simply because they're popular irrespective of any merits they may or may not have. Seems to be common on here. Sad tryhards.

Where does that now place you given the increased popularity of 29ers? 😈

I don't enjoy driving any more.

I used to love it as a reckless, feckless dangerous-driving teen. But sadly I matured enough to recognise the roads were filled with reckless, feckless, dangerous-driving teens and old folk, that it cost too much, and that I was usually sat in a traffic jam in a dented Vauxhall Astra rather than driving a convertible along an empty, winding mountain pass. So I sold the car 5 years ago and just hire or steal when I have the rare need to use one.

ToTall – I don't class 29ers as popular really – only on here and STW is far from being a representative slice of the mtb riding population as a whole 😉

    Besides, I never hated them…

A & A – oggling over women is just a bit sad IMHO

I don't mind the odd sly oggle, but you're right group oggling always strikes me as a bit creepy.

People who hate popular things simply because they're popular

you have a point clubber, apart from anything thats media saturated – thats a good enough reason to hate it regardless of other facts.

I don't dislike football the sport but the endless piffle around it annoys me, why do you have to spend hours diessecting it, waffling about the minutiae of it, giving your opinion of how it should be done etc etc just go out and do it FFS.

Processed potatoes (okay chips and mash type stuff is good, but it's those 'smily faces', Alphabites, croquettes and all the rest of them. There's a whole aisle in the supermarket filled with this stuff)
Supermarkets (I go 'cos they're convenient, but that's only because there aren't any local shops left to go to. Viscious circle, I know)
Babies, new parents and all advertising asociated with them (my son is 9 months old so I'll exclude him, but my word, the amount of tedious small talk, advertising and oneupmanship you have to put up with)
