I’ve just been down into town to pick up a few odds and sods.  Whenever I do this, there are certain things that I always pick up multiple reserve supplies of, to pop in the freezer for emergencies/whims. You know what I mean… the stuff that you simply can’t do without.

There are a few things, but top of the list is knowing that I’ve got a selection of different sausages, plus decent bacon, black pudding, hash browns.

This is so I that know that on any given weekend morning I can wake up secure in the knowledge I have everything in for a full cooked breakfast, without needing to go out for owt.

What are your freezer essentials then?

    Muffins

My wife has a very frustrating habit of buying muffins and then not eating them so they end up in the freezer, sit there for a few months then get thrown out because they are taking up space.

    Where’s my like button?

I’ll check my freezer for it.

Cheap air friable Yorkshire puddings for an unhealthy snack.

Great for keeping in the freezer and whacking in the air fryer when you’re feeling lazy …

Nuttin’. I buy fresh. I on a carnivore way of eating so it’s mainly beef, lamb and eggs. Usually one meal a day.

Leftovers of unknown age that may or may not be safe to eat, depending on if they went in before or after I left the bloody door open again.

    Everything.

My freezer is always full of random food, almost always in multiples.

I need a responsible adult to sign off on me buying anything more “for stock”
