...not getting crushed by a tree?

Astons look pretty tough:

£30k? This seems low even for a used price. Granted I havn't been shopping for one so it could be realistic.

Looks like the tree missed it for the most part.

Bloke at work bought a fairly low mileage 06 plate for £36k just over a year ago after doing an epic amount of research.

Thing it it's not so much the buying it, but the running it that hits the wallet.
He gets a maximum of 17mpg and more likely about 12mpg when 'making progress'.
The recent annual service came in at just under £1000 and things like brake pads/discs and tyres are pretty eye watering. I think a spark plug change was quoted at just under £400.

But he's almost paid his mortgage off, has no kids and is a massive petrol head, so fair play to him...!

I presume there isn't much going on in the news at the moment and they had lots of space to fill. They appear to have written about 4 times as many words as were needed to adequately convey the story.

Brilliant! Utterly brilliant!

Abused urban tree with weakened Base and large canopy on a breezy day. In leaf can add a lot of weight as well as increasing the wind sail.
Not so much crushed the Aston, toppled over and then rested on. More damage was probably done removing the tree.
That Hilux definitely got landed on.

A tree fell on my parked bike in France in 1994.

It was fine.
