Hoping the dog has a lie in. Unlikely.

Fantastic pic, Dickyboy. Would love to be there

Was lovely, loads of people just sat round eating picnics, drinking and generally soaking up the chilled atmosphere with some drumming going on as background tunes.

Even though I’m stuck at home full of cold/Rona and keeping the FIL who’s just been discharged from hospital company, I still love the fact that I can look out the window and it’s still light at 10:25pm. I love the summer the UK.

Where can I live, where it’s like this all the time?

After being held up by another accident closing the A9, we barely made it home in time to head out to Loch Morlich.

I was really surprised at being the only swimmers there. Lots of cars up at the Cas car park catching the sunset though.

This is the best I could do before the clouds rolled in at 10pm using an iPhone xs, looking towards the Cairnsmore of Fleet (nr kirroughtree) from the Gatehouse to Laurieston road

And today will be just a little bit shorter as we head back towards winter

Drove 40 mins after work to go and ride in the hills, got the bike out of the car and the front wheel, looked for the axle……………………………left it in my garage so did a 30 min walk in painful shoes!

Got home to discover I had also left the garage door a foot open. Clearly wasn’t with it so perhaps best I didn’t do a long ride!

True, but take some comfort in the fact that sunset is still getting later for a couple of days yet…

Rode to a decent hill and Camped out with a few friends for it last night. Had a great sunrise this morning.

If I was on nights I’d climb to the roof of the drill tower (6 floors) on the 21st, today I woke up at 8.15..

Went on a little solstice overnighter. Too many trees for a decent view/sunset/sunrise

I went up on a local hill and had a wee bottle of fizz in memory of my late wife and then a ride home in the dark.IMG_2487

Currently on the train to Winchester… Taking the SDW ‘back’ to either home (Hove) or do the whole lot…

Got plans later today, so will see how time flies…

The weather is shocking! So I suspect it’ll be a lot slower than, say, yesterday would have been!

Went out looking for Hares on Solstice eve and this red kite came very close, still recovering from whooping cough, so no riding at the mo.

Well we had the winter Solstice…

We drove out to a property only half hour away. The owner built a Stonehenge out of massive polystyrene blocks and spray painted them with concrete. The whole “henge” is covered in neon psy-trance style artwork, lasers, strobes, DJ booth, portaloos, fire pits. He did a BBQ for us and we camped in the truck. Woke to a stunning sunrise, kangaroos, mist and beams of light shooting through the trees. Utterly bizarre location, but amazing none-the-less.

Temps only went down to around 8c. Woke up, whacked on the stove and had a coffee then was home half hour later.
