My free trial of Strava premium ended today. Their customer retention team need some training if they think homophobic name-calling is the way to win me back!

You need to have a fag break and think about what you just said.

    Very queer choice of words.

Takes me back to playground abuse banter ca. 1982

Maybe they’ve been tracking your frequent evening rides to Hampstead Heath?

    homophobic name-calling

    Is bummer really homophobic?

I’m all for political correctness but even I doubt that. Especially as the verb ‘bum’ for homosexual intercourse seems exclusively British, and to be ‘bummed out’ for annoyed seems to be originally American.

Bums are not exclusive to males. They could be complementing you for obtaining your wings…

You read my OP as a genuine “Outraged of Tunbridge-Wells” type post?

    Isn’t Strava American?

I’d expect they’d call you fanny if they wanted to make a comment on your rear 🙂

At Junior School, being called a ‘bummer’ was as bad as it could get. It definitely means ‘slighteffitegayboybattingfortheothersidefudgepackingshirtliftingturdburglingteapot’ where I’m from (the 1970’s obv).

Quite why anyone would think this is a serious dig at such though is beyond me.

Indeed, though it was Molgrips so it would be weird if he didn’t pipe up, eh.
