Just back from a weekend riding around Hebden Bridge. Very wet, quite cold but brilliant fun.

The 'burn looks like it's running pretty sweetly! Not yet had enough rain to do more than dampen the sand yet i guess. Must get back there for a few laps 😉
Never ridden Woburn. Silly as it's less than an hour away (usually go to Chicksands instead if I want that type of riding).
Anyway, couple of short dog night rides Friday and yesterday, and then I thought I'd risk the drizzle this morning to check out the woods. Stupidly even ventured off-piste. That's that until about May then...

Cracking ride round Afan today despite hotel and food awfulness the night before
Sadly not. Rode during the week and after a swim and taking the kids to the skate park today I finally washed the bike ready for it to get covered in crap on Tuesday night while supervising them doing the headset rebuilds on their scooters. Really it's too late the headsets are knackered but they've just got to last til xmas.
Tomorrow night I shall be lubing it (the bike) up ready to go.

I had a lovely ride Sunday afternoon - got some new wheels and a GX cassette for the Stumpy, which has knocked 600gm off the weight..
Was proper muddy, but great fun!

@golfchick - that wasn’t the Afan Lodge was it? Stayed there a couple of times when I lived further away and it was great.

@Kryton57 it was the dunraven hotel treherbert. The room was right above the pub bar so I didn't get to sleep until midnight and someone set an alarm at 5:45am. The floors and floor are paper thin and the place i sjust falling apart. Pictures and website look great but it was awful! The food was The Lion pub further down the road, 50 minutes for a charcoaled burger..... not amused!
@Alex I've seen afan lodge, parked there and eaten there and its lovely but none of it is pet friendly so for now they've missed out on the delights of me!
Took my son for a loop of Cardinham.
Despite the two weeks of rain we've had, it drained overnight and was riding really nicely.
@golfchick - ah right, didn’t realise that. The problem is there’s not much choice. There’s the cabin’s on the wall descent but I’ve no idea what they’re like nowadays. I think they take pets tho..

First proper outing for The Space Chicken. Planned a 25 mile thrash around Warwickshire. Canal towpath, back roads and muddy bridalways. What a bike this is. Equally fast on roads and gravel and proper full on furious and twitchy in some muddy steep descents. Loads of fun.
