I’m sick of all these posts proclaiming the seasonal appearance of crystalline rain, all these people outpouring how incredible, inconvenient and beautiful all this snow business is.

Well here (Exmoor) we have NO snow, nor does it look like it will snow, all we get is stupid wet rain, lazy fluffy rain, drizzly crappy rain and very very heavy rain, oh and hail.

ok, now I’ve got that off my chest, have you not got snow?

SE Cornwall. It almost never snows here. I did see a weather forecast that suggested the Westcountry may have some snow in the next week. I’m expecting some cold rain.

We have almost no snow. There’s a weird Fun Weather Deflector just west of Edinburgh this year I think.

I wish we had rain now, to wash away all the snow. Snow in England is a bit rubbish because we never get that much of it, and it’s never really cold enough to stick around properly. You get maybe a day of decent snow (which is ace, don’t get me wrong), but then there’s a week or so of soggy, melting yik all over the place making everything miserable.

My ride in today was not entirely pleasant. Bring on the rain.

I’ve got a 6ft drift of no snow piled up against my front door. Luckily the inward pressure is balanced by the big pile of no snow I keep in the front hall, so I think I’m safe for the moment.

very little here. BD17. Had lots of heavy showers but it didn’t really stick. Although apparently the in-laws saw a report from the top of our hill last night showing vast amounts of it. we must be in the lee of it, as we’re only 150m closer to sea level

    very little here.

Loads here BD17, just up the hill from you 😆

Spent yesterday queing to go no where fast and sledging.

Baildon Moor was reported live on BBC News this morning too due to the snow

ah that must be what the in-laws saw. I’m just off Station Road and although there’s a little crunchy frozen stuff on the pavement where the sun doesn’t reach, it’s mostly gone.
suprising how much difference a hundred metres or so of elevation can do

We have so much no snow here I had to get out my non-skis to get the kids to school.

I don’t know, but I didn’t know if it was sleigh or sledge, so to avoid being berated I thought I would go with toboggan. 😉

What I’m saying is, if you don’t want snow buy a toboggan/sledge, one like this:

You are then pretty much guaranteed it will not snow.

I could have written your opening post, Mr Nutt. As always the south misses out on any fun weather and it’s just yet more dreary rain.

Mud must be at least 5 feet deep now round us.

Just what I was about to say – and the wind has dropped a bit too, not that it’ll stay that way.

And here in the state of New Mexico it has been snowing all day and likely through the night as well as most of tomorrow (was 60F yesterday)

No snow here right on the coast of NW Scotland. Unfortunately I have to drive inland at 6am – plenty there.

Some just arrived in Surrey this morning. I have the pink ticket to go biking near Peaslake, so this means there will be a lot of Qauttro toting ‘chaps’ who are very pleased with the all weather ability of their car.

Anyway, I am like a child and get over excited in the snow. Woo hoooo.

There is snow in Ipswich. Like the sugar dusting on a mince pie. Won’t stop the local kids trashing the park with their sledges, toboggans, tea trays, fertiliser sacks in a couple of hours.
