my washing machine motor has stopped turning. Brushes still have life in them so I think the windings are toast. It also trips the circuit breaker at times when trying to turn.

the specific code is 61/64 -148 BC10. which seems to be a 360w motor with 11600 spin. Its a Bosch Classix 7kg WAE24369.

Does anybody know what these codes mean and which ones are the critical ones to match? e.g. can I use a different motor, say a 61/64 – 148 CY or 61/64 – 148 WHE0. They are presumably parts from other branded machines, but despite the initial digits matching still have a different spin / power.

or another which looks simliar and for similar vintage to my machine but doesn’t list compatability with my machine with a 450w rating and 17000 spin which despite being more powerful is sold as compatible with a WAE24363 model which is a 6kg one so. Washing Machine Motor for Bosch Neff & Siemens Washers | eBay
