Another variance from all the stories I’d heard was there was no ball shaving involved (they specifically told you not to do it yourself, so definitely weren’t going to provide a service) and no antiseptic being slapped around. No gown either – just trousers and pants off.
Pants off here and maybe a bit of paper roll. Oh and a female doctor barged in, mid procedure. On top of other issues, the hole didn’t heal for about a month – just was open.
Mine is the ‘comedy sketch’ bad end of these procedures.
Had mine a couple of years ago, was in our small town hospital but it’s more or a glorified surgery/clinic really. The worst bit was the feeling of the anaesthetic working it’s way through, felt like I’d been kicked hard in the balls! Procedure and healing were fine, I do have some ongoing occasional dull ache/sensitivity issues but overall no regrets!
