A rather nice barbecue with some friends who live down the road last night. A belly full of food and my 7% home made cider. When they went on I walked back with them to give the dog a final stretch of the legs before bed.

We live in a rural location and we were admiring the night sky. Then a trail of lights went across the sky. We were all amazed, trying to explain it. Meteors? UFO? CIA lol.

A bit of googling this morning it looks like we saw the SpaceX Starlink

Looks like it should be visible again tonight. Thanks for the heads up OP, I watched the launch and initial release on the internet but hadn’t thought that it would be visible.

As long as the sky is clear and not too much light pollution where you are it will be very visible.

Looks like it’ll be visible several times tonight between 9:30 and midnight.

But, they don’t have lights, how could you see them?

Here’s another online tool to help see them, it works best if you know your Lat/Long, but has UK major cities.

10:24 and around 12am. Deffo worth looking for (assuming this cloud blows away).
