Touring shoes – any ideas?

Want to go clipless for touring but want some shoes that look like normal shoes, not cycling ones. Hopefully ones that don’t feel like you’re wearing clipless when you’re off the bike (no click click click!!).

Looked at Giro Rumble and the lower end Shimano shoes which look like trainers (ish). Any other ideas or reviews of the above?

Shimano MT91s is what I use.

I’ve seen those but they are a bit spendy and look massive like hiking boots. Thinking more along the shoe style really.

Shimano MT71 here, shoe version of the MT91, also waterproof but lower cut and a little lighter weight. Great for anything from lightweight/road touring all the way through to extreme rock traversing bikepacking (I can vouch personally for this…)

Also con be found for ~£70 if you shop around (I paid £71 in march) and the XM7 is the replacement version as apparently the MT71 is old stock now.

Shimano MT34/44 look like they might work. Or flicking through the Evans website, the Louis Garneau Nickel would seem suitable as well.

Specialized Cadet, perhaps.

Giro Rumble? A riding buddy has them and has no complaints (bizarrely :P). Seemed a popular choice as we noticed quite a few folks wearing them for touring duties.

EDIT, I see you’ve already considered the Giro’s.

i use mt41s for this.

mines are 10 years old , used for summer commuting and touring. they have been round new zealand , australia , most of scotland and have even done the odd mtb race. great shoes.

I use them over mt91 goretex boots (which i use for mtb) because they dry out – mt91s once wet stay wet for a long time.

some overshoes and mt41s cover me for most conditions.
