Forecast in the south looks close to perfect. Already got chain lubed and tyres pumped up, reckon it could be the day I’ve been waiting  7 months for

Anyone else got an epic one planned?

Sorry to anyone stuck with family duties…

What have you got in mind?

Might do the eastern stretch of the TPT to Spike Island for an ice-cream and back, ’bout 50 miles, not ‘rad’ by any means but its a nice way to get the legs moving.

Epic distance? No. But might finally christen my 18-month old carbon semi-aero wheels, mostly at a speed where aero drag is insignificant, before the showers arrive in Hampshire from Saturday night until end of the Bank Hol weekend! 😆

Oh nothing amazing, just Downslink and a bit of the south downs west of Steyning . Think it’s about 80km if you add all the twists and turns up.

    Spike island sounds exotic.

Don’t forget the aero socks or the turbulence will cancel the vortex created by the spokes

I took my new carbon DT Swiss wheels out once, last July, and it pissed it down as usual. They’ve been in a wheel bag ever since coz it’s still pissing down .

I’ll be out in a bit, sun is shining! Doubt it will be anything epic, but I may also make it onto the downs.
