This is getting right on my t1ts, but it may be me going senile..

Has anyone else noticed the commentators in F1 and Moto GP in particular shouting about an incident just prior to it occurring? It seems too obvious that the pictures and commentary are out of sync.

Charlie Cox did it at Indy, it so frustrating I may have to write to my MP.

    And relax…..

I dunno; usually it seems that stuff is happening on screen, and the commentators are prattling on about something else rather than doing the job properly.

we noticed it too. thought it was my sky+ box. was quite funny to hear them shout about Stoner crashing and then see it happen a few seconds after. Very confusing.

    Enjoyed the race though

Yeah, the GP was out of sync slightly, but I think they fixed it about 2/3rds of the way in, there was a noise and a line of commentary was repeated and it seemed to be in sync after that.

Yeah annoys me to especially on MotoGP and F1, sometimes happens on Eurosport cycling commentary to – although often they completely miss stuff whilst prattling on about something else instead (although I think I'd go slightly insane to commentating daily on live stage lasting 2-6 hours…)

    Not noticed it on F1.
As Elfinsafety has said – normally on F1, they are going on about some completely unrelated matter while something quite significant will happen and they will completely miss it.

the indy moto gp was a pretty dull race though, tbh. plus, the commentators haven't got a clue what they're talking about.

In F1 it's usually the other way around – eg it happens on screen then 2 or 3 seconds later the commentators mention it – figured that either the audio feed was delayed or the screens they have at the track are slightly delayed.

It was probably just that the audio & video will have taken different routes back & the man on the desk was crap at his job – or something like that
