Finally sorted out some roof bars for the car and got some Thule 591 carriers (second hand) however the u brackets included are not big enough to go round the profile of my aero bars. I believe you can get T-track adapters which fit to the rack and slide into the slot in the aero bars... Can anyone point me in the direction of the right product, there seems to be a few variants which is causing confusion. Better yet does anyon have any that were supplied with said carrier that they are not using? beer money in it for you 😆

The T Track bolts are hellish expensive, i just went to B and Q and got button head bolts that were the same size and thread (M5 or M6 i think) and washers (M10 i think) I had to file a small amount off the head of the bolt 1 - 1.5 mm so it would slide easily into place, i have run this set uo for over a year and a half now with no problems.

One of my mates did the same thing a month ago and he went to a local fastners and i think he paid a grand sum of £1.50 for eveything he needed.

J_me - if you could have a look and are willing to sell that would be great. Drop me a line if you have any luck locating them.

That link is for the fitting relevant to the 530 - freeride rack, 3 bolts the same size. The ones I need apparently have 2 long and 1 short?!?! clear as mud eh!

Rusty - had thought of trying to fashion something together initially but wasn't entirely convinced it would be robust enough

You can get them here;

http://www.roofbox.co.uk/scripts/rbproduct_search.php?from_quicksearch=TRUE&submit.x=0&submit.y=0&submit=Search&keywords=T+track

However, I have also done exactly as Rusty Mac recommends above, cheap as chips and works a treat.
Not fallen to bits yet or damaged the track even after over 5 years regular use.
I dare say someone will be along shortly to highlight how dangerous this home brewed solution will be!

Can't say if those are the correct lengths as mine are the cheapo 575 carriers, sorry.
All the T-tracks are the same profile though, it's just the lengths that vary.
