Hundreds of the little buggers in my office. Keep getting in my hair!

    *scratches and flails*

How do I get rid of them?
I guess they’re coming in the window ‘cos it’s near a hedge. Too hot to close it though 🙁

Thrips species feed on a large variety of sources, both plant and animal, by puncturing them and sucking up the contents.

    Run. Run fast.

X-Files – Darkness Falls was always my fave episode*, now I’m not so sure. 🙁

*Mostly ‘cos Scully** was cute*** then!

** Didn’t she have a pop video banned for being too rude?

***OK – Not in that pic

Ah, Scully… the loveliest Gillian ever?

These musings are all very nice, but how are you coping with the invasion? Homemade Mr T-style flamethrower assembled yet?

Admire them for the fact that their name doesn’t change whether it’s singular or plural.

    THEN CRUSH THEM!!!!

Thrips/Thunderflies are different to thunderbugs in my world.

Thunderflies = tiny thin things that get under lcd screens
Thunderbugs = small round things that mean you don’t wear yellow

Don’t seem to get any round here, always used to be bad where I grew up.

I don’t believe this: now at my flat one’s crawled into the actual centre of my one remaining 24″ flat-panel and died. It looks like 10 pixels have gone out, but I recognise the shape of the little sod, and when I tapped the screen it moved a couple of mm.

How the hell am I supposed to get this out?

I have to spend all day doing CAD with this here. Any ideas how to remove it? I guess I have to take the backlight and spreader apart.

Oh dag nammit, I just scrolled down to preview this post and there’s another at the bottom of the screen walking about inside it!!!! AAAAARRRGRGHHHH!!!!!!
