If they get caught at least there’ll be plenty of handcuffs to go around 👮‍♂️

Let’s hope the coppers can penetrate this ring of organised criminals. Could be an inside job.

I bet the lorry driver thought “oh cock” when he or she discovered the theft.

More like ‘oh no, cock’ comma may be moved for comedick purposes.

Theft from trucks in laybys must be at epidemic levels.

I’ve lost count of the number of trucks I’ve seen parked up, one of the back doors wide open and nothing inside. Terrible.

I’m sure they’ll be pegging any profit forecasts.

Kayak, not sure if you’re serious but i thought this until someone told me it was the drivers doing it to show there was nothing worth nicking inside.

The driver’s leave a back door open to show there is nothing in there so they don’t get targeted and have damage caused to the trailer

At least this time there will be less moaning and groaning than if they’d actually delivered that huge load.

I suspect they’ll have to sit on the stolen goods for quite some time before they’ll be able to sell them.

How long do you think they’ll sit on the goods for?

Used to be a gentleman’s agreement that everyone would leave the doors shut, no-one would know which trailers were empty and which were loaded. Foreign drivers unaware of this left theirs open, agreement fell apart and so now it’s obvious which are loaded, fine if yours is empty, not so good if not.

Bloody awful business, those foreign truck drivers.

But hang on, is there any evidence that foreign drivers did this? It’s surely just as likely that a self-interested British driver / company got fed up of their doors being kicked in and decided to open them when left empty and unattended?

Round our way those laybys in question (there’s one either side of the a43 there) are commonly known as the gaybys
Ill leave you to draw your own conclusions…

This thefts generated quite a buzz.

It’s looking like it’ll take more than a wave of a magic wand to bring it to a finish
