    We did a fly drive from Calgary to Vancouver a couple of years back. We did a route called Western Highlights which took in Banff, Jasper, Vancouver Island and a few other places. We also squeezed in a trip to Seattle to see a friend who lives there.

    Banff is worth a visit although I preferred Canmore. Highlights for me were the Icefield Parkway, Vancouver Island and Vancouver itself. We also visited a couple of ski-resorts which were pretty good off-season. The Sun Peaks one had mountain bike uplifts and the hotel at Kananaskis was really nice.
