all non lock on grips will move, even wire-ons or glued grips.
only recipe for keeping them still is mincing around rather than riding.

ESI fitting; use white spirit to slide them on- they fix fast within minutes in above zero temps.

I have had 2 pairs on various carbon/alu bars and not slipped once since I first bought a pair, despite some hefty S/S yanking on the bars.

    They do wear quickly though

Funny that i’ve never seen an MX bike with lock ons.

Maybe they all get minced instead of ridden too.

I’ve always used window cleaner inside the grip, slide them on and leave for a couple of hours until dry.

My ESI have not moved a mm since fitting

As above, motorcycle grips aren’t lock-on. It’s all about the fitting.

i fitted my ESI grips with water – sprayed it on with one of those plant sprays and they havent moved since. They have packed down quite fast though and i can now feel the bars through them. Am going to try ergon ga-1s next.

The ESIs are the grippiest grips i have ever used though – no idea how they work so well with no tread etc on.

ESI rock. I use 3M spraymount adhesive – sets like concrete, yet loosens readily with a WD40 squirt.

same here using them on two bikes and no problems, just do what it tells you to do and use window cleaner.

Why do people insist on using hairspray to stick grips on????????????
I used to use it back in the day when I didn’t know any better, and put up with my grips turning in the wet. Then I stopped listen to old wives tales and actually bought some grip glue! Yes actually glue, designed to hold grips on! Guess what? It actually works!!!!!!

until you need to get them off again.

used them, comfy, very light and wear rate has been good so far

To remote lift edge slighty and spray a bit of wd40 thru straw under it they come straight off. Fresh hair spray removes too but harder to squirt thru a straw

hehe.. I use spraymount and tie wire. I’ve never had them slip so I must be mincing.

Lock-ons are deffo for gays though.

Use GT85 to put them on and they’ll never move again

I think the problem with mine was they were pretty frayed at the outer ends and water gets sucked in by capillary action type thing.

They are far better than normal foam grips, no doubt about that and the weight savings are considerable.

OZriders grips are the best grips ive ever used, you should try some Tony, and cheaper than ESI grips as well………..

ESI user, here put mine on using the compressor method per as their website have not moved in 3 months of use including racing, crashing, tearing the edge off on a large rock and they are really light and my hands love them , i use the chunky ones as i have large hands, i have a pair ready for my new bars (haven carbon) when i fit them in the spring for the new season of racing

Maybe not, but they do wire or glue the grips in place.
