The Snowman

I know it is now an iconic Christmas tradition, but am I the only one to think that if I was a kid taken to the North Pole by a magical flying snowman, I would hope Santa would come up with something better than a poxy scarf as a present?

…and how come he grows up to be David Bowie ?

Maybe the kid will ask him when he meets up with him again tomorrow night (ch4 @ 20:00!)…saying that, it was made 30 years ago…our expectations were no doubt much simpler back then!

Our little un watched “Father Christmas”, also by Raymond Briggs, in the car on the way to the grandparents.
