Why couldn’t she get on the mic and say thanks though? Is there some constitutional thing that stops her?

Anyone else reckon Flashy is sitting at home in his union flag shorts, hat, pants, shoes and jacket waving a flag and crying by the way? Standing to attention?

Why are they projecting a French flag onto Buck House. A German flag I could understand, but French?

If that load of utter tripe made anyone proud to be British then we’re all f*cked. I presume all Gary Barlow had to do was google ‘artists who would gladly play at the Syrian Government’s annual bbq and civillian mass killing party’ if it meant shifting a few more tickets/ CDs’ to get his line up.
Public executions of Jimmy Car, Rob Brydon and Lenny Henry would surely draw a bigger crowd. I for one would be camping out in the rain to watch that.

    Well,

I’ve just got in from Hyde Park.

It’s just like watching it on telly, only it’s a -really- big telly and you’ve invited thirty thousand of your closest friends time to watch, and you switch it off ten minutes before the end (to stand half a chance of getting to bed before the party starts in the kitchen).

Made a tactical withdrawal whilst Macca was letting it be, did I miss much?

Very civilised way to spend a Bank Holiday evening. I imagine people are still at the exits now going, “no after you, I insist.”

    Tricolore?

French flag is “Blue to the mast. Blood to the last” – i.e. blue first, white, then red…

Why, why, why don’t they pension off those ageing crooners who can’t hit the top notes any more? A man in his sixties cannot sing like he did in his twenties. Paulie, Cliffie and slack-arse Elton all ought to go. The Madness boys can’t sing any more either and as for Rolf….. gawd! What an embarrassment having an imbecilic Australian trying to fill in.

globalti: the oldies were the ones that saved the event. will i am and the tweedy woman could not sing live for toffee.

    Grace Jones was top entertainment.
Agreed on willing to camp in rain to witness public execution of “comedians”.

Cringe worthy stuff that concert, to top it all Gary Barlow will probably get a knighthood off the back of that and his jubilee song.

I didn’t watch much because to be honest it was pretty awful what I saw, but, just watched Tom Jones, Jessie J and Kylie on play back, along with Peter Kay and they were good so it wasn’t all bad.

Just waiting to see what the Queen has to say at 6.00 p.m. Anyone else think Prince Philip is more seriously ill than what the Royal Household is saying? Not that it’s any of my business but to go to hospital for a bladder infection and be in for three days? Probably got pneumonia from all that standing around Sunday! Poor sod

I loved Mark Radcliffe’s remark today that he thought it was strange that Elton John came disguised as a dinner lady.
