The Reverse Edinburgh Attack.

I think we’re all familiar with The Edinburgh Defence by now, but I’ve noticed a trend on STW for The Reverse Edinburgh Attack.
This is where someone posts something that is obviously a joke, then someone else will pretend to take it seriously so they can make themselves look clever by pointing out how silly it is.
Unfortunately for them, even if the joke was not funny or was in bad tastes, it has exactly the opposite effect.

Here’s a recent example.
I’ll add more as I come across them. Feel free to add any that you find.

I have no issue with disagreeing with people. I object* to people who cannot form cogent arguments or back up what they say so you are well above the radar DS.

* means I have no interest in debating with them as their arguments are poorly constructed and not really logical so there is no real way to defeat or negate what they say …never argue with an idiot they will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience so to speak.
