(I know Rwanda is rightly a hot topic and Romesh himself, as usual, brings some seriousness into the show but let’s just concentrate on the wonderfulness of the show in this thread please?)

Loving the current series where he’s journeying to 3 African countries but episode 2 in Rwanda is just superb.

The artwork making with cow poo was TV gold. 😂

This episode is particularly good as the guy they partner him up with as a guide is very much on the same wavelength as him as far as humour goes, made all the more amazing as the guy has been through hell.

    Just wonderful TV.

He genuinely seemed to click with his guide. Was very good show, though don’t know why they just didn’t film the ‘controversial’ bit once out of the country?

Caught that episode last night. Great TV he has such a dry humour and good way at getting the serious stuff across.

I was amazed by how much it has tuned itself around, how very welcoming they are to people. The country wide community spirit though to keep it clean, to work as one and how understanding they are to each other (not described that well) given the recent history is phenomenal.

Agreed him and the guide got on straight away.

Both episodes have been very good. It’s a great format for a travel show, and he’s an excellent host.
Does anyone else watch it and think – roads look good for cycling there?

Caught a bit of it, will have to watch the rest. In parts, a beautiful country. Amazing to see the impact that cycling has had too (the late Paul Sherwen was heavily involved in this) and agree that the roads look good there.

Rwanda: Tales From the Congo Nile Trail

The relationship between Hyppo and Romesh was excellent, like a couple of naughty schoolkids. Excellent TV

Spent some time in Rwanda a few years ago (plus Burundi and the Congo) – had a friend from there, and lived in Kigali for a month or so – got to experience gorilla farts as well 🥳🤣
