    Weapy valve on the wife’s car.

    No worries I’ll remove it and replace.

    No says the valve . The wings snap off rendering it untouchable

    What next?

    Shame it wasn’t a presta. Straight in with the pliers.

    New valve time. It is possible to DIY but it’s a quick and easy job for a tyre place.

    Is it a metal valve TR? The screw together type without the rubber boot?

    I had this on my Hyundai a couple of years ago and managed to buy the outer section of the valve which the core screws into, leaving the TPMS sensor in place.

    I can’t remember if it required tyre removal or not, mine came off as it was needing replacing anyway.

    Most tyre places will have a fix it box of spare valve bodies. It’s a tyre off job.

    Maybe £30 or so
