    so couple of tiny , maybe 3mm dia and 0.5mm deep stone chips around bb area – this is going to be unavoidable in normal riding, but as it’s my first carbon frame I am ignorant of such things. Alloy and steel bikes are covered in chips which do no harm – is carbon the same, or are you supposed to touch them up or something ?

    Heli tape on the down tube when new!

    I have a few nicks on the clear coat on my road frame, I touch them up with clear nail varnish. Im afraid they are unavoidable, shows you use it though. 🙂

    cheers. Have helitape on the mtb’s – hadn’t thought of using on road bike 😳

    just back in from first wee ride on it, but back roads are a bit gravelly….
