Do I need a chaintug on a slot dropout i.e. on my on-one inbred slot, i noticed somepeple seem to have some kind of screw thing going in to the back of the dropout in the s/s albumn in the forum

    if i do – why:)?

Yes. It will prevent your wheel from moving forward under heaving braking (the forces exerted on disc brake rotors can pull the axel forward). I use one on the drive side, which is generally considered to be sufficient.

is there a specific type i need to get?

Most types will fit, although you might find some oddities.

Do you have a brand new Inbred? I think the design of the dropout is slightly different on those, so you might want to dig around on the site a bit, but I’m sure the On One tug will still work.

Surly Tuggnuts are the Rolls Royce standard, but I’m not sure they make much different and the On-One thing is adequate.

The Surly Tuggnut also doubles as a bottle opener

which can’t be a bad thing

I use the On-One tug because I have enough bl00dy beer bottle openers.
